From the moment babies are born, they respond to the world around them. In our newborn class we provide a nurturing environment that is full of opportunities to develop and form an emotional security with our teachers.

Crawlers (6months - 11months)

The crawlers room is where are little movers and shakers can explore and expand on their curiosity. We are getting around more independently and learning to scoot, crawl, or walk. Art and sensory play are introduced in the class and a chance to venture to the playground.

From first words to first steps, Ones are busy exploring, learning and discovering the world around them. The one year old classroom is an active and engaging environment. We use a hands-on learning through play concept that promotes development in all areas. With many materials and experiences, we encourage each child to develop their social, language, and motor skills.

Our toddler classroom has an enriched learning environment that facilitates active learning guided by their teacher. With a perfect mix of quiet and active engagements, large and small group opportunities, we create a day full of fun and learning.

Twos / Threes

Our Twos / Threes classroom has a variety of learning centers that allow children to plan their play. Their environment is developmentally appropriate and provides engaging ways for them to begin exploring questions about their world. Through focused small group learning, this class has the ability to interact, problem solve, and discover new experiences.

Pre-K / VPK

Twos / Threes

The Pre-K classroom is equipped with unique learning centers that encourage interaction, independence, and problem solving. Children have the opportunity to experience small groups that integrate elements of literacy, math, science, social studies, and creative art domains. We provide an environment that offers our children the chance to become successful thinkers and future leaders.

Experience Early Learning Curriculum

Your child will participate in a nationally recognized educational program that is designed uniquely for children birth - five years old. Experience Early Learning is a research-based curriculum that supports your child’s rapidly growing curiosity. Experience Curriculum nurtures the child’s social-emotional, physical, language and cognitive development. Experience Curriculum also has it's own integrated assessments and child progress monitoring. Your child’s teacher participates in monthly professional development and receives a new Experience teaching kit each month to ensure that your child benefits from the latest teaching methods and the highest quality tools for hands-on learning.

MCCYN

Hawks Nest supports military families in our area by partnering with Military Child Care in Your Neighborhood (MCCYN). MCCYN is a fee assistance program that keeps affordable child care in reach for eligible families. It’s intended for families who cannot access military-operated care due to distance or waitlists. With fee assistance, a portion of your child care cost is paid. The goal is to make it easier for you to afford quality child care from local community providers when you cannot access military care.

The foundation of Soccer Shots is our relentless commitment to providing best-in-class coaching, communication and curriculum.

Ages 2-3:

Soccer Shots Mini is a high-energy program introducing children to fundamental soccer principles, such as using your feet, dribbling and the basic rules of the game.

Through fun games, songs and positive reinforcement, children will begin to experience the joy of playing soccer and being active.

Ages 3-5:

Soccer Shots Classic utilizes creative and imaginative games to focus on basic soccer skills like dribbling, passing and shooting.

We also highlight a positive character trait each session such as respect, teamwork and appreciation.

HEALTHY FOOD CHOICES

Serving fruits, vegetables, and other healthy options. Healthy eating is essential for child development and long-term health. Meals are always made "kid friendly" and to ensure each child has an opportunity for seconds!

PROVIDING HEALTHY BEVERAGES

Making water readily available is key. Hydrating the body is important so children can play, explore and learn throughout the day. Low sugar juice and milk will also be served.

FAMILY STYLE DINING

Family style dining allows children and teachers to sit together at a table for a meal. Children expand on their learning by developing social skills, fine motor, language, and manners. Dining together deepens their relationships as they engage in teacher or student inspired conversations.

SUPPORT BREASTFEEDING

We are a breastfeeding friendly child care program. Breast milk is rich in vitamins, minerals, and nutrients as well as other ingredients that help your baby grow healthy and strong.
