October- Life on the farm
This month of October the children will be learning Through our October theme, "Life on the Farm," your child will explore the world of agriculture in a hands-on way. Our days will be filled with activities that cover:
- Literacy: Reading farm-themed stories and expanding vocabulary with words like "livestock" and "harvest."
- Science: Discovering where our food comes from, such as participating in a fun activity that mimics milking a cow.
- Arts and Crafts: Expressing creativity through farm-themed art projects.
- Circle Time: Learning about different farm animals—their sounds, behaviors, and what they contribute to the farm.
- Fine Motor Skills: Practicing coordination with skill-based projects, including creating a colorful apple mosaic.
Hawks Nest is proud to be apart of the Rotary Read Aloud
Rotary Read Aloud is a partnership between the Rotary Club of Panama City and the Early Learning Coalition of Northwest Florida.
This program partners with Rotarians to promote literacy engagement for pre-school children. By partnering with a well-known community organization, we are cultivating positive role models for children.
The Rotarian will be reading once a month to our Pre-K class:
September - March
They will also leave the book that they read with the classroom.
