November - We all give thanks
The "We All Give Thanks" November curriculum uses the flexible
Funnydaffer program to focus on themes of gratitude, family, and community. Children are engaged in play-based activities to prepare for kindergarten while exploring the meaning behind the Thanksgiving holiday. They will do hands-on activities that will reinforce counting, sorting, and critical thinking, often using seasonal items like fall leaves, corn, and feathers.Children will learn how to express thanks and appreciate their families, friends, and community.Children will use process art and sensory play to develop fine motor skills through fun, themed crafts like "gratitude trees" and handprint turkeys.
Hawks Nest is proud to be apart of the Rotary Read Aloud
Rotary Read Aloud is a partnership between the Rotary Club of Panama City and the Early Learning Coalition of Northwest Florida.
This program partners with Rotarians to promote literacy engagement for pre-school children. By partnering with a well-known community organization, we are cultivating positive role models for children.
The Rotarian will be reading once a month to our Pre-K class:
September - March
They will also leave the book that they read with the classroom.
